Who we are

Collaboration is a top priority for us.

Not only do we work in tandem on the most diverse topics in order to realize the vision of OBI within our team. We also work in interdisciplinary teams with product owners, developers and others, constantly exchanging ideas and moving them forward together.

Of course, in addition to the work, the interpersonal aspects are not left behind. We like to play a round of foosball during our lunch break or go out and explore the city center of Cologne after work.

How we work

Open-plan offices, whiteboards, fully equipped meeting rooms – these are just some of the special features in our offices in Cologne, located in the former Harald Schmidt Studio. On four floors, we can find space for whatever is needed: whether it's a joint workshop, a video call or a short exchange over a free coffee or tea. And if you're hungry, there's always something to eat in our spacious canteen.

We set new UX standards for the DIY market

Project highlights

OBI Project Center

At the end of 2020, we developed a new test feature for the heyOBI app. "MeineProjekte" is a project center for our customers, where they can create their own projects, collect favorite ideas and add personal content. This way, everyone can organize and design their own projects individually. Anyone who currently downloads the heyOBI app may be one of the randomly selected 20 percent of the user group who are allowed to try out the test version exclusively.
